Certified Apartment Manager (CAM)

The CAM Program is designed to enhance the skills of the apartment manager, resulting in better managed more profitable rental properties, improved resident retention rates, and increased employee productivity. Programs may be taken as stand-alone seminars or in full to earn the industry designation.

  • Mgmt for Residential Issues
  • Property Maintenance for Managers
  • Financial Management
  • Human Resource Management
  • Legal Responsibilities and Government Relations
  • Risk Management
  • Fair Housing
  • Marketing
  • Community Analysis- The Community Analysis serves as a "capstone" to the entire C.A.M. Program. The project requires the students to demonstrate what they've learned by completing an extensive project concerning the market factors that influence the operation of a multi-family housing community. The project is due at the end of the course.

AAMD runs a CAM Course twice a year.
  • Spring - February to April on Mondays & Wednesdays from 4-7pm.
  • Fall - September to November on Wednesdays & Fridays from 9am to noon.
