New Executive Order (2020-202) Affecting Rent Demands

The Governor has issued Executive Order 2020-202 again affecting rent demands.

The Executive Order as two practical effects:

First, it requires that all rent demands include a copy of this five-page CDC order as well as this two-page Declaration form

There is no requirement that you provide either of these documents to the resident prior to serving a rent demand nor is there any requirement that you re-serve these documents with the rent demand if you’ve already provided them to the resident (which we know some of you have).

Additionally, the Executive Order extends the requirement of the use of the 30-day rent demand.
