Supporting Locally Owned Restaurants To Purchase Breakfast For Their Community

Apartments Giving Back,

Individuals and local businesses alike have suffered greatly due to the effects of COVID-19, and the management company for SloHi Flats Apartments decided to do what they could to help.

Envolve LLC, one of the country’s largest affordable multifamily property owners and managers, wanted to support its communities during these uncertain times. The company decided to purchase breakfast for all residents of SloHi Flats on 9/19—but instead of patronizing a chain restaurant, they chose locally-owned Rise & Shine Biscuit Kitchen and Café.

ev_logo_1“Small businesses help make up the heart of our community,” said Brooke Parra, Executive Vice President of Ross - A division of Envolve (also known as Ross-Envolve). “The pandemic has been especially hard on local restaurants, so the Envolve Resident Lunch Program was the perfect means for us to help support a fantastic one right here in Denver—even though we deviated and went with breakfast instead of lunch just so we could pick Rise & Shine!”

“We love their food,” agreed Yesenia Parra, Community Manager of SloHi Flats, “and it was great to be outside welcoming all of the residents who came out for this fun breakfast.”

Attendees went to the property’s first floor patio to pick up their meals. Menu options included biscuits with different combinations of egg, cheese, bacon, chicken, sausage, and ham, as well as chewy breakfast bars, bottled water, and Starbucks coffee to round out the most important meal of the day.

“Everyone was so excited and thankful to Ross-Envolve for providing such delicious food,” Yesenia continued. “Several residents also commented on how nice the property looks.”
